Abstract Overview

Title 1, Part A is a federal program created by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).  Through Title 1 the federal government provides financial assistance to states and school districts to meet the needs of educationally at-risk students. To help these students meet the state’s rigorous educational standards, Title I programs provide students with extra instructional services and activities.

Hello! I am excited to join the Cardinal Lacroix Academy to provide Title I Math and Reading services to support teachers and students! I am licensed for Elementary Education and as a Reading and Writing Specialist. My work experience includes being a Title I paraprofessional in Kindergarten, a classroom teacher in 1st, 2nd, and 4th, a Reading Specialist in a PreK-4th school, and I taught Pre-k through 5th during the summers. I am also a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner.

I love figuring out where students are at academically and then moving them forward. I look forward to working closely with the classroom teachers and families to promote optimal learning for our students.

On a personal note, I am the mom of an infant who loves to smile and “talk.” My husband and I also host international students while they attend high school in New Hampshire. When I have free time, I love skiing in the winter, hiking when it’s warmer, and learning new “tools for my toolbox.” I believe that if you learn enough approaches, you can find one, or a part of one, that meets students’ needs.
