In Pre-K, we foster creativity and imagination, while presenting academic learning to help children develop to their full potential. This gives them a strong academic foundation and a life long love of learning!

Children begin their days with a morning meeting and being gathered on the rug and going over the weather for the day and month. We move into language arts where we learn new letters and sounds. Students then have snack and recess before continuing on to religion, math, and then lunch followed by an additional outdoor recess. We then give the students a 50 minute rest period and end the day with discovery centers, which include an array of different subjects and includes specials like gym or music

Mrs. Zina Raymond

Ms. Raymond was born in Italy and came to the US when she was 10 years old. With over 25 years of experience working in Pre-K, she holds a certification in Early Childhood Education. Vincenza believes in nurturing children's creativity and ensuring they have fun while learning. She employs engaging educational activities and places high value on open communication with parents. Starting another school year as the Pre-K teacher at Cardinal Lacroix Academy, she is enthusiastic about her role. Vincenza considers herself blessed to be part of this community and looks forward to an exceptional school year. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and being by the ocean. Married with two grown children, Ms Raymond's dedication to education and her personal interests reflect her well-rounded approach to life.

One of the things that separates CLA from other early childhood centers is our ability to get children accustomed to a full-day of school schedule. Our focus is on their academic learning and growth in order to best prepare them for kindergarten and elementary school programs.
